What is PrEP?

Prep, or pre-exposure prophylaxis (of HIV infection) means medically preventing HIV transmission in persons who are HIV-negative. In Finland, the available PrEP medication is in tablet form.

PrEP is aimed at HIV-negative persons with an elevated risk of acquiring HIV infection.
